Why am I in community? As a christian who believes and is inspired by the bible, I was looking for a church that lived out their faith as was done by the early christians. There are too many churches that only go so far as to acknowledge the lifestyle that Jesus lived, but very few in our society that live the example he set for us.

I found the Jesus Fellowship to be one of those few. Of course there is no church that gets it 100% right, but it is the willingness and efort to try that God blesses. When I checked out the Jesus Fellowship I discovered people who are enthusiastic and humble, and who do not give up at the first upset or sign of difficulty. I found that God is not into church as a programme of events, nor as a best of buddies club where no-one dares to upset or challenge each other.

Community as we live it here within our church is very challenging, and it stretches us to grow and mature as christians. God is into churches that are about deep, strong, holy relationships, Openness and sacrifice have their reward in true friendships that are bonded in Christ. That is why we have so many people who are so very different to each other and yet it works out, because Jesus is the one who brings us together.

In the world's society some of us would never of had anything to do with each other! That is the reason I live in community, Because I am gaining deep friendships, healing of past hurts through those relationships and a closer walk with God and a maturity I could never have if I didn't live in community.
